These beans are annuals and enjoy sun to light shade. These gorgeous fast-growing, climbing vines produce dark crimson red heart-shaped foliage and deep purple flowers which develop into deep purple pods with unusual, exotic looking seed pods. The long spikes of blooms stand out from the foliage and then give way to clusters of maroon, 3 inch long seedpods. It produces a quick screen on a trellis or fence. These beautiful fragrant flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Even makes a great cut flower for your Summer bouquets...Keep in mind that the raw been seeds are POISONOUS.
