Vase is all white. It is fully glazed. Looks splendid. Hutschenreuther was well known as one of the greatest porcelain figurine makers for about 200 years. Its most famous Lion mark is a symbol of high quality and artistic design. Hutschenreuther’s art department was established in 1917. Nowadays, the Lion mark is under umbrella of Rosenthal Group. This vase is marked on the backside with standard green production mark used in c. 1970.Hans Achtziger (1918 – 2003) designed this vase in the series of porcelain objects on his workshop on modern ceramics in Selb. He is one of the leading names in German porcelain making industry. He worked for Hutschenreuther since 1946. Achtziger designed many beautiful Hutschenreuther’s coffee and china sets as well as worked as an artist. He was director of Hutschenreuther’s Art Department since 1972.
