Description: Made in Finland, this knife and its sheath are in EXCELLENT condition. There is no damage to the sheath, the handle or the blade. This 11" long light-weight knife has a 6" stainless steel blade that is a full tang (confirmed by the brass retaining nut in the pommel). The full tang gives the knife extra strength and durability. The blade features the Marttiini signature hand-etched into it: “J. Marttiini Finland – Hand ground stainless”. The 4 1/4" handle is made from curly birch wood which was sanded, polished to a smooth finish and then varnished. For safety, the handle has both a prominent inset for your index finger and a hooked pommel so the knife will never slip out of your hand. Its original detailed leather belt-loop sheath as stamped and stained artwork and the Marttiini logo. The 9" sheath contains a plastic liner to prevent the very sharp blade from slicing through the sheath and the belt loop is attached by a metal D-ring so that it swings freely and keeps out of the way when you're crouching or sitting.
