This solid metal doorstop is pictured in Schiffer Publishing Company's "The Encyclopedia of Antique Bookends" with a high book value. It features two cold painted spotted hunting bird dogs - most lively retrievers, English setters or spaniels. These 3-D figural dogs are holding an alert pointer position with noses and tails up in the air. They are posed in a landscape scene with a fence behind them and green grass in front. This heavy cast iron piece stands 5-1/4" tall and measures 6-1/2" long by 2-1/2" deep. It is in as found condition - very nice for its 100+ years.
