BEAUTIFUL BISON LEATHER Genuine American Bison leather is stronger than traditional cowhide and is unparalleled in its softness, strength, and durability. The bison hides themselves are much greasier (higher fat content) and tend to have pockets of light weight (thin) areas, especially over the natural hump of the animal's back. Theses hides have more natural wrinkles and striations than my other leathers due to the ruggedness of the animal. This is what we consider a "Natural Quality" piece of leather because of the slight markings on the surface of the hide. These may include scars from barbed wire or insect bites, as well as creases, growth marks or freckles . Natural Quality should be equated with nature's signature. These marks enhance the character of your finished product while revealing the authenticity of the leather.
