Description: JAN KELDERMAN (1914-1990) Jan Kelderman was born in 1914 in Edam (the Netherlands). He lived and worked in Hilversum, Laren, Eemnes and Amsterdam, where he died in 1990. Kelderman was an self-taught painter. He had a special talent for painting, and he developed a very acceptable, impressionistic own style. He painted Amsterdam city-scapes, seascapes and still lifes of flowers, winter landscapes, forests and also many cityscapes of Paris. His paintings are now exhibited in museums in Holland, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Italy and Germany. He is mentioned in all important art literature, like the “Pieter Scheen” (most important lexicon of dutch painters between 1850-1950). For many years we are collector of Jan Kelderman paintings and we have over 200 now. All paintings have been cleaned and restored professionally (if necessary).
