Description: Original Historic Rare Collector's 1960's 32 Raggedy Ann Doll. Inspired the horror movie franchise"ANNABELLE" FREE SHIPPING as always. The doll was won at an auction. It is an original, not a replica of which a lot of dolls are replicas of this historic model. I am not the original owner and the doll is going on 3 quarters of a century old so it has some staining but it can be cleaned and in my opinion, the wear just adds more character to Raggedy Ann. I think it gives her more of an old antique, historic vibe. She is pushing 70 years old and she is Raggedy Ann for a reason. Check pics very well for condition and feel free to ask any questions. I didnt notice any bad smells or anything major. I noticed some staining mostly on her apron which probably makes her more realistic. Her apron also has a small tear. Her Knickerbocker tag is intact and clean. She is missing a little bit of her red hair on the back of her head (see pictures), but if you lay her hair flat you cant tell. Vintage Raggedy Ann Doll - Inspiration for Annabelle This vintage Raggedy Ann doll is the same model that inspired the infamous Annabelle horror movie franchise. In the 1960s, this model of Knickerbocker 32" Raggedy Ann doll was given to a nursing student named Donna. Strange occurrences led to the involvement of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who determined the doll was possessed by a malevolent spirit. Donna's Annabelle doll now resides in the Warrens Occult Museum. Raggedy Ann dolls, created by Johnny Gruelle in 1915, have been beloved childrens toys for generations. Known for their red yarn hair and endearing smile, these dolls symbolize comfort and nostalgia. Gruelles inspiration came from a homemade rag doll found in his mothers attic, which he refurbished for his daughter, Marcella. Tragically, Marcella passed away at a young age, and Gruelles love for her is reflected in the stories he wrote about Raggedy Ann. In 1920, Gruelle introduced Raggedy Andy, Anns brother, adding to the charm and adventures of these iconic dolls.
