Description: A historic Bison lower jaw bone from the midwest. I haven't had it carbon dated, so it's impossible to say how old it is. This bone is likely from a bison that died with the last few thousand years. 6 teeth are intact. And some have a nice rusty red coloration on the chewing surfaces. You can see the neat dark brown/blackish patina in the photos. There is some minor cracking and peeling that has occurred This has been preserved using paraloid b-72.
