Description: Described in photos above and in identification below, this set is from a single family home in New England. It has been well cared for over the many decades. I thought it best to sell it as a set instead of separate pieces as there are probably not many to be found in such good condition. To preserve the integrity of the original finish, the furniture was cleaned using only Murphy's Oil Soap, then to protect, TLC Wax - clear. The decision to refinish, restore or to use as is, will be left up to the buyer. Please note: There are a few surface imperfections from common every day use such as scratches, chips, dents, some discoloration but they are not apparent unless you closely examine. Mainly the table legs have some random scuffs and slight marking. The glass doors of the china cabinet have a few chips in them. On top of the china cabinet there is an area which feels slightly raised but is not visible All of the pieces have the original hardware except for one chair which is missing all four silver foot glides. At the top of two of the chairs the finish has been worn off and could use restoration. All of the chairs need to be reupholstered since the fabric is stained and tired looking but it is the original 1940's fabric. The seats are still firm and comfortable though. In the book description, the info is given for fabric dimension for seat cover. Inside some of the drawers there are a few small faded spots of (ink) possibly. Doors open and close with accuracy and drawers open and close smoothly with ease. There is NO offensive smell to this furniture. No obvious exposure to smoke, mildew or pets. Very clean.
