Description: Original Framed Letter from Henry W.Longfellow to the Literary Society, Longfellow published over 20 books a Historic American AUthor, This specific letter was written to the Society after his last trip to Europe in 1868 where he received honorary degrees from both Cambridge and Oxford Universities. He also selected to the Russian Academy of Science and the Spanish Academy. His bust is the first of any American Poet to be placed in the Poet's Corner in Westminister Abbey. This AUtographed letter is in an original period frame.
