Substantial thick heavy 4to. volume with a great many fold-out copper engravings - anatomical, elephant, spiders, medical, geographical, &c. The Kino map is titled, A Passage by Land to California Discover'd by ye. Rev. Fathr. Eusebius Francis Kino, Jesuite between ye Years 1698 & 1701. This is the second English edition of Kino's historic map which refutes California being an island (a myth which continued to thrive).
