Each head features 4 rows of cutters for a total of ~32(already installed on the cutterhead). Each cutter, or carbide insert, is solid carbide and will out last your steel knives by a good margin. Each insert (15mm X 15mm X 2.5mm, R=150mm) also has four cutting sides so just rotate the one side that gets dull and you are ready to join again.
