These are about 26 inches from center of axle hole to the top of the fork. These may be longer than your stock forks, & could lift up the front end a little bit. You do not need the large rubber fork covers (gaiters), or the external springs to use this set. This is a high quality set that you can use to replace your old rusty pitted forks. Improving your suspension, handling, and braking performance will make your bike feel Young again. Helpful information: Forks take 3.2 ounces of 20WT fork oil in each one of the fork Legs.As far as the springs go - I removed the rubber dust seal that came with the forks and then the stock springs and gaiters fit perfectly over the fork tube and everything fit perfect. Makes the fork about 50% stiffer and if you are a bigger person (as many of us are) no more BANG when you hit a hole.FYI if this is done and the gaiters are replaced, make sure you use the stock full length (13 rib) Gaiters or they will be too short.
