This load features that "Loose Material" look and is hand-made and hand finished in the USA as HAY BROTHERS part number 5503-10. Because it is hand-made, there may be slight top profile and finishing variances between loads of the same part number. Please note that the load offered in this listing is designed and machined to fit the N Scale Athearn (former Roundhouse) 52 foot 100-Ton Mill Gondola Cars ONLY. It DOES NOT fit similar cars offered by other manufacturers. Although shown in the photo for reference purposes, the car itself is NOT included in this offer (Just the load...). Limestone is used as a flux in blast furnaces to trap impurities (turns to slag). Limestone is also used to make "Flux Pellets", which are Taconite Pellets that already have the flux (limestone) mixed into them. They flow into and melt better in the blast furnaces, and flux pellets also save a step in the process of charging the blast furnace since the limestone is in the pellets.NOTE: To conserve weight, this load is designed and machined to fit low in the car.
