Description: About This Item: Up for sale is a complete set of Hawkins Electrical Guide Volumes 1 thru 10, copyright 1917, plus the Hawkins Electrical Dictionary, copyright 1913. All published by Theodore Audel & Co. The soft covers are in very good condition, with some very light wear on the spines. Pages have no writing, tears, or missing pages that we found. There are a handful of dog-ear folds across the set. There is a slight musty scent from storage. The majority of volumes have some degree of paper loss in the page borders, mainly in the first few or last few pages, but with no typeface or word loss. Two volumes have some pages with typeface loss: Volume 1 : 1st 3 pages have paper loss in the lower corner (see 9th photo - first one of book pages); last 25 pages at the back of the book have increasing paper loss and have some word/typeface loss in lower right corner (see last photo). Volume 4 : 1st 12 pages are missing a section of the lower outer corner with some word loss (see 12th photo - 4th one of book pages). This is a comprehensive set of manuals that cover various aspects and applications of electrical engineering. Topics range from basic electrical theory to advanced electrical machinery, making it a valuable reference for understanding the historical technology and practices of the early 20th century.
