Description: Dear, dear Mimsy sweet lady kitchen angel. She graced the world from 1929 to 1987. She was a lovely lady who took care of so many. At a young age she took over the cooking and cleaning in her family at only 11 years of age when her mother died. Mimsy was the eldest of 5 so almost everything fell on her. She never had a chance to grieve her mother because she was so busy. As the family grew older all the younger ones spread their wings and moved on but Mimsy could never leave her father, he only knew how to go out and work on the docks for a living, someone had to feed him and look out for him. Mimsy was never resentful, she was grateful to be loved and needed. After her father passed on Mimsy decided to start a catering business which she did for a few years but it was not as fulfilling to her as taking care of someone. Through the she had always been the loving auntie and godmother and she adored them all so she thought she would become a nanny. She worked for a very nice family with a special little girl with spinal bifida. Mimsy found her calling. It was the perfect job for her, she gave and received!! Her favorite thing was teaching the little girl to cook and watching her thrive at it. Mimsystayed with the family for 14 years until she was diagnosed with late stage ovarian cancer. Unfortunately, she died not long after her diagnosis. So Mimsy was an earthly angel, human but pure and devout. As a spirit or a kitchen angel as I like to call her, she radiates positive and uplifting energy!! She prefers to be kept in or near the kitchen so she can watch someone cook. She says to smell food cooking is a heavenly experience for her and that nourishment is what binds us together. Occasionally Mimsy will smell like freshly baked cookies or some bakery yummy. I asked her about it and she said that is her memory that is coming through with aroma. Her happy memory brings me happiness...then I want to bake something myself and that makes someone else happy. When I told her that she said "exactly!! Giving & receiving is what it is all about!!"
