I will try and list a variety of pieces each week and hopefully you will find items of interest to you. This Harmony Kingdom figurine named "Tour de Force" V3 was carved by Peter Calvesbert in 2004. It was hand painted/finished by local craftsmen in the Cotswold area of England. Harmony Kingdom description: "Despite being nearly half the size of his mate, his virtuosity and strength are indispensible; hence his name. In the first 500 pieces, he holds a helmut, a reversal of fortunes as the knight typically slays the dragon. Not this time! With the second 500 pieces, he plays with a sock puppet. Hey, even dragons need some downtime, plus Tamira can't be expected to always entertain their little one. In version three, the final 500 pieces portray Yorick's skull. Here he shows his contemplative side by reflecting upon earthly vanity. Like Shakespeare's Hamlet, he ponders the contrast between the "fellow of infinite jest" and his grim remains. And speaking of earthly vanity, the signing tour for which this piece was created is not all hubris and fun for Leanna Barron and Noel Wiggins, the HOP and HBC Presidents respectively. Their travels take them to dozens of HK dealers throughout the world - a feat requiring great virtuosity and strength in itself." PLEASE NOTE: The final 500 pieces did not display a "Skull". Harmony Kingdom had recently released "The Day of the Deadfest" and they felt 2 skeleton pieces would be inappropriate. So they substituted a "boxing glove" for the skull in the third version.
