This listing is for an oil painting that I've done on an old used 7in saw blade. It was cleaned & neutralized against rust; then sealed with an acrylic sealer over a flat spray paint (either black or gray); and finally sealed again after the oil paint was completely dry. The back is prepared the same way....just no oil painting on it. My signature has also been added at the bottom in a contrasting paint. This painted sawblade has been done by only using 3 colors - Prussian Blue. white, and brown. This WAS an actual saw blade many years ago, but the teeth were worn down from use. Material: old saw blade, oil paints, sealer, black undercoat.Color: black sprayed on after cleaning and sealing against rust.Size: measures 6.75in.Painting sealed for protection. All saw blades that I have are old to start with (vintage) that I have found in garage, yard and estate sales. Pictures have been digitally altered to show the details better and to show what the saw would look like if hung on the wall with an overhead light shining on it! They are meant to be hung where a light can fall on them, as long as it isn't sunlight! This would be the PERFECT gift for that hard-to-buy-for person in your life! Please....DO NOT hang where direct sunlight of ANY kind can shine on these saw blades; or near a heat source. I seal them at the end with a sealer that allows gently wiping of dust off the face of the saws (with a damp rag ONLY), but please DO NOT immerse them in water as they will rust since they are real saw blades and made of metal and DO NOT use Handi Wipes of any kind, including Clorox and Lysol wipes! This will be mailed out Priority Mail in a Flat-Rate envelope so that insurance is also included.
