Description: This is a Indo-Raj large hand-hammered painted metal jug. It measures 24" tall X approximately 18" wide X 12" deep, weighs 9-1/4 pounds and is in very good condition with no signs of damage. The gold details are raised giving it a wonderful feel and appearance. I do not believe this jug is antique (as some I've seen listed) but a well-done reproduction that would add a very interesting and eye-catching item to your decor. These jugs were originally used to collect waters of the three sacred rivers, the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati and represented the tradition and handicraft of people from India.
