Description: "Black Bear Cub laying on Birch Branch" Clint Wickman Original Wall Art © Copyright 2024 This piece is 20 1/2" long x 6" high. Process: This is an original relief wood carving that I designed and carved in my studio. I carved everything by hand with power tools from one piece of kiln dried Pine wood. On this carving, I used burning to color the bear and smaller branches, and I hand painted the white Birch branch and markings with my own custom mixed stains. The back of the carving is flat for wall mounting, and I set a flush mount metal hanger in a carved recess for a nail or screw head. I also hand signed my signature and year on the back. Preservation: After burning all of the details, the wood is sealed, and then I hand paint stains, and finally brush on a coat of exterior grade U.V. resistant Spar Urethane. This wood carving is however intended for indoor use. If you want to place it outdoors, I recommend brushing on a few more coats of Spar Urethane/Varnish. Shipping: All of my carvings are very well packed, and shipped fully insured for the rare chance of loss or damage.
