He is highly respected by people in the central region and all over Thailand because he is considered a monk full of great compassion. He lives a humble life and has beautiful moral conduct. He is worthy of faith and respect.History and birthplace Luang Por Ruay was born in 1921 as the 6th child out of 8 siblings (3 boys and 5 girls) with his father named Mi and his mother named Sinla Sonrit (the ancestors of the Sonrit family were descendants of the people of Krung Sri Satanakhahut) in Ban Tako, Village No. 2, Don Yang Nang Subdistrict, Phachi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. His early life was similar to that of children in the countryside in general, that is, he helped his parents with their agricultural occupations, which is considered It is a city of rice and water since the ancestors. They have always helped raise animals such as cows and buffalo. In terms of education, when he was 12 years old, he received his primary education at Wat Tako School because children at that time did not have any primary schools in the Don Yang Nang Subdistrict area. They had to rely on monks to teach them in the temple's pavilion until they were able to read and write. Their knowledge was comparable to that of the fourth grade of primary school, and then they dropped out of school. When he was 16 years old, he was ordained as a novice at Wat Tako, with Phra Somut Boonchuay, the abbot, as his preceptor. In the celibacy, he studied the Dharma in the area of the Kanthadura (Pariyattidhamma) and passed the Naktham Tri exam. When he was old enough to be ordained, around 1941, he was ordained as a monk at the boundary of Wat Tako, with Phra Khru Sunthon Thammaniwit (Luang Pho Chuen), the abbot of Wat Pachi. The abbot of Phachi district was the preceptor, Phra Palat Choi, the abbot of Wat Wimon Sunthon, was the preceptor, and Phra Somut Boonchuay, the abbot of Wat Tako (at that time), was the preceptor. He received the religious name of Pasathiko. After being ordained, he stayed at Wat Tako continuously. He studied more about the scriptures of the Dhamma and the Pariyatti Dhamma until he passed the second level of the Dhamma examination in 1942 and the first level of the Dhamma examination in 1944. After finishing the first level of the Dhamma examination, he thought that it was enough for the scriptures because monks living in the countryside were able to maintain the Dhamma and the discipline of celibacy and be able to teach the villagers. After that, he turned to the Vipassana Dhamma and saw the benefits in practice. When that happened, he traveled to become a disciple to study meditation with great teachers of that era, such as:1. Luang Pho Chuen, Wat Phachi, Ayutthaya, an expert in Vipassana meditation, inherited from Luang Pho Klan, Wat Phra Yat, was well-known at that time, with many disciples who studied from Luang Pho Klan, such as Luang Pho Yai, Luang Pho Aun, Luang Pho Pao, Luang Pho Sri, Luang Pu Du, and Luang Pho Chuen. All of Luang Pho Klan’s disciples mentioned have now passed away, but each one is well-known.2. Luang Pho Chaem, Wat Daeng Nuea, an expert in magic spells and incantations, passed on all his knowledge to Luang Pho Ruay. With his diligence, perseverance, and determination, he progressed quickly until the knowledge he studied and practiced became powerful and powerful in his knowledge.Luang Pho Ruay, Wat Tako, was a person who was eager to study and diligent, so he was able to master all of those knowledges and use them to help the faithful relatives and laypeople who were in trouble with kindness. Therefore, he was loved, respected, and believed in by his disciples. In terms of development and religion He was a person who cared about the activities of the monks until the temple flourished as seen today. With these virtues, he received the royal grace of His Majesty the King granting him the title of Phra Khru Sanyabat with the royal title of Phra Khru Sunthon Thammaniwit. Luang Pho Ruay passed away peacefully at 9:00 p.m. on July 19 at Vichaiyut Hospital at the age of 95 years and 76 years of monkhood. After 100 days of Luang Pho’s death, his body did not rot or decay, so the monks and disciples jointly invited Luang Pho Ruay’s body to be placed in a glass coffin for disciples and Buddhists to pay homage at Phra Mahathat Chedi Pasathiko, Wat Tako. This made the disciples believe that Luang Pho Ruay’s body did not rot or decay because he was a monk who practiced good deeds and was a practitioner of meditation for a long time.
