STOCLET PALACE is a private Brussels mansion built for the Banker and Art Lover, Adolphe Stoclet, between 1905 and 1911. In 2009, UNESCO proclaimed the building a World Heritage Site. In 1905, M. Stoclet commissioned Gustav Klimt to design a series of three Mosaics to decorate the walls of one of the magnificent rooms in the house, a task which was completed in 1909, even before the mansion was completely finished. The resultant fresco is known as "The Palais Stoclet Frieze".
