Restoration: Thoroughly cleaned using electrolysis and lye, followed by three layers of seasoning with grapeseed, avocado oil, and beeswax This Dutch Oven is ready for cooking but will continue to develop its non-stick surface over time with regular use. Cooking spray, butter, oil, fats, should be used to help prevent items from sticking and will also help with the continued seasoning process. Dual-logo cast iron pieces, produced after Wagner Manufacturing acquired Griswold in 1957, offer a unique blend of both brand identities. Featuring both the Wagner and Griswold logos, these pieces represent a transitional period in American cast iron history. Made between the late 1950s and early 1960s, they remain functional and durable, serving as reliable cookware. While they may not have the same handcrafted detail as earlier single-logo items, they still hold appeal for collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate their historical significance and connection to two iconic brands.
