Description: Guitar is in great playable condition. It has a warm and sweet sound. It has some small dings and scratches from over 50 years of use. If you want a perfect guitar, this is not the one for you. The pickguard has been broken in the past and repaired. There is a crack in the neck binding but doesnt affect much. It is in original condition. It has not been repaired or refretted. The old gretsch frets leave a bit to be desired but it plays great. The action is good. It is a bit higher than it originally was. The neck has pulled a bit over the years but it is stable and hasnt moved in 10+ years. The big e string frets out and buzzes at the 16th to 20th fret. All the other strings play across the neck with no buzzing. Play it as is or have it worked on and make it perfect. Ii dont know the exact year it was made. 62 is an educated guess on the serial number. The label in the guitar was used by Gretsch from 57 to 65.
