Description: Issued by Great Britain (Royal Post) on March 8, 2011, this complete mint set of eight stamps (four pairs) features the most popular characters in Britain's magical, mythical literature. Two of the 1st class stamps feature characters from Harry Potter, the good wizard Dumbledore and the evil wizard Voldemort. The other two 1st class stamps take inspiration from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, with accidental hero and shambling wizard Rincewind and smutty witch Nanny Ogg. The Arthurian legends are the basis for the 60p stamps, depicting Arthur's mentor Merlin and sorceress Morgana le Fay. The 97p stamps feature Narnia characters, the lion Aslan and the White Witch, played by Tilda Swanton. Excellent stamp designs!
