Gorgeous vintage, Old Cottage, England, WELSH GIRL doll model No. 303

Here is an adorable, 8" tall, historical character doll, circa 1972, "Welsh Girl", " series list #303* by Old Cottage Toys, Allargate, England and designed by Greta & Susi Fleischmann with both wrist tags. Made of stuffed felt with jointed arms and legs and a swivel polyvinyl acetate (hard rubber or composition compound) head, she has lovely painted features including pretty brown eyes, eyeshadow, delicate eyelashes, brows, mouth, rosy cheeks and lovely, dark brown long hair with bangs beneath her lace trimmed mob cap and traditional tall, black felt hat. She wears her complete and detailed, multi-layered, traditional Welsh costume dress with black felt bodice and striped skirt beneath a long black & white checkered apron, red felt petticoat, long pantaloons, long knit stockings and matching black shoes with buckles. These charming dolls are described on page 295, "15th Blue Book"-Foulke as well as the doll collector magazine. Shown in detail on page 51, "A Collector's Guide to Old Cottage Toys"-Summers. She'll make a wonderful addition to any collection. She is in excellent conditionwith no damages or repairs, no fading or stains, no holes or odors as she is from a smoke free home.
