Ursprünglich erschien 'The Ending Quest' 1994 beim obskuren Label Crypta Records und damit gegen Ende der Death Metal Welle der Früh-Neunziger. Dass auf der Encyclopedia Metallum Webseite sämtliche Rezensionen des Albums die Höchstwertung 100% zeigen, sagt alles über dieses großartige Album. Es ist düster, melodisch, verflucht heavy und musikalisch zwischen Edge Of Sanity, Entombed oder alten Paradise Lost anzusiedeln. GOREMENT nahmen zudem das Album nicht in Schweden auf, wo Tomas Skogsberg oder Dan Swanö den landestypischen Sound produktionstechnisch prägten, nein, 'The Ending Quest' wurde 1993 in nicht einmal zwei Wochen in Wilster, Deutschland eingespielt.
