Description: This listing is for probably one of the rarest of all the Goodwood badges from a one off event - Goodwood Speedweek held in 2020. Goodwood Speed Week was a behind closed doors event held during Covid restrictions. As there were no spectators allowed, there were no 'on event' sales, meaning very few of these badges have entered circulation. I am lucky enough to have got a limited number of these from a close source at Goodwood. These were almost literally a Goodwood barn find! With no public admitted the usual event restrictions did not apply to Speed Week, resulting in the fastest ever officially timed lap at Goodwood, set by Nick Padmore in a 1989 Arrows A11 Formula 1 car at 1 minute 9.914 seconds! Sure to become highly collectable, this is the genuine item produced by Goodwood in brand new and unworn condition. A lovely design in Chrome, with highlights beautifully enamelled in Black and British Racing Green. Personally, I think this is one of the best designs Goodwood have produced. Made by W.O. Lewis Badges of Birmingham to their usual high standards. A long standing supplier to Goodwood, W.O. Lewis were established in 1832 and are still owned by the same family! Measures approx. 1 3/8" x 5/8" (35 mm x 15 mm), please see pictures for measurements. Secured with a 'Butterfly' type clip on the back. From a smoke free home. Will be nicely packed in a slim box to protect it - no jiffy bags here!
