Description: Estate find. Darling Goebel porcelain boy and his dog figurine from the Norman Rockwell collection. The figurine measures approximately 4-1/2" long and stands 4-1/2" high. Dated 1960 on the bottom along with the Goebel West Germany mark and Rock 208. The piece features a young boy seated on the ground, face in his hands as though deep in thought. His faithful dog is at his side, peering into his face. A pipe is laying on the ground beside the boy -- perhaps he's contemplating his first smoke? The boy is wearing green pants and a burgundy and white striped shirt. He has brown hair topped by a blue hat. The dog is brown with a white underbelly and muzzle. A very thoughtful piece.
