Description: Antique clothing button was likely produced in the 1800s. The button features a carved and pierced MOP / mother-of-pearl design -- in this case a goat head -- mounted in a metal setting. The pearl is mounted in a metal backing, and held in place by a Tiffany style setting. There is a loop shank affixed to the back. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button size. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The button may have tarnished a bit with age or have slight surface/paint wear -- but there are no cracks, chips, or other more serious flaws. It is in very nice shape and it will display quite well.
