This is a favorite houseplant called Gloxinia or Sinningia speciosa. It has ruffled trumpet-shaped flowers, is a relative of the African violet and belongs to the same family. Gloxinia plant was first discovered in Brazil, in 1785. Although flower blooms have short lives indoors we were lucky and saw vibrant purple blooms coming back for several years. It was a very special display, we were happy to capture this truly remarkable flower. Ben and Raisa Gertsberg are a husband and wife artist duo and collaborate under the name It's a Beautiful World!®. Image is printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame on the back of the print includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall. Print arrives "ready to hang". Metal prints are extremely durable. They're lightweight. They won't bend, and they're water resistant. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of the image to produce stunning results.
