This edition was sold only by subscription (uncertain if first edition). Rough condition as pictured. Bumping, wear and soil to boards. Binding is split entirely in the front gutter (the cover is completely separated from the pages). End gutter cracked but boards still attached. Front endpaper chipped and bent. Interior pages age-tanned but overall clean. This is a heavy and very large book (14in by 11.5in by 2in) and does not fit well on a bookshelf (more of a "coffee table" book).
