Description: For your consideration: From my personal collection of rotary mixers (Bozak, Urei, GLI, Vestax, Rane, Crest just to name a few. Feast your eyes, for virtual gallery purposes only (photos 19-to-24) Selling a GLI’s holy-grail of all rotaries, the 5990 three-channel mixer with one-of-kind custom-designed fit-to-a-tee flight-case (photos 1-to-5) This is a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to acquire this legendary mixer so grab it while it lasts! Although the unit works as should, the third channel volume is lower than normal when I inadvertently plugged-in a sound processor at full-blast resulted in signal overload that I believed damaged the 8-pin input IC which is an easy fix. Just pull-out and replace. On that note, it is being sold in “AS-IS” described condition. More Classics up-for-grabs: 1. For your consideration: A beautiful utilitarian mixer I’ve ever encountered in my years of tracking down these elusive rotaries. Behold the Peavey PVDJ Rotomix (photos 6-to-9, $2799) The specimen featured here was never used since acquired just sitting on display. The knobs were upgraded to nice looking oversized easy to grab classic ones. However, the original power supply has been misplaced during a move and assumed lost. Therefore no power supply including and it is being sold in “As Is” untested condition. I may have a PDF copy of the service manual if needed. 2. An extremely rarely seen Numark/PPD's (photos 10-to-16, $3299) earlier classic flagship rotary dj mixer..the elusive MMX-2000 in it's original form and in unused state racked only for personal studio display collection purposes. The case and DBX 3BX series II shown in the pictures are not included in the sale. The MMX-2000 is so scarce and even much harder to come by than its legendary counterpart, the Bozak or Urei (see images of both rotary legends in my studio). History will dictate as the surplus continues to spin out of depletion, yet the demand is gaining momentum for these esoteric mixers is on the incline, one can only speculate it's an investment that is worth the "wait" in gold...So the opportunity presents itself to grab a piece of legacy while it lasts, perhaps an addition to your existing collection of great mixers for the sake of posterity, style, sound or simply experience what other true DJs only fantasize about...own it and wonder no more! Hours spent given a 20 point tune up, deoxit all knobs and controls including all relevant connections to ensure proper contact, buffed and detailed clean every crevice to free from dust with even some retouching involved in the process. Like any vintage gears, trace of some minimal virtually inconspicuous signs of wear due to age is almost always expected, but in no way impede or even deflect your appreciation for its aesthetic beauty and functionality. You'll be hard pressed to find another of this exceptional condition no doubt. What's under the hood? well not all rotary DJ mixers are created equal, the mmx-2000 is perhaps the ultimate utilitarian mixer I've ever encountered in recent memory. And with the fundamental understanding of audio in/out implementation, configuration of all imaginable routing combination is possible with the mmx-2000. It offers 4 microphones each with send/receive I/Os or effect loops, 3 turntables/phonos, again with individual effect loops which is unheard of and a delegated crossfader for phono 1 and 2 only, situated on the top corner. Logically added for optional conveniencebut ergonomically isolated from the layout...after all it is a Rotary! Matrix style 6 line/aux inputs assignable to any of the 4 rotary channels, 3-band eq per channel and 2 band eq for the L/R master output. LED type vu meter with sensitivity calibration of 4db and -10db headroom (balanced/unbalanced) to achieve precise mixing at all times is such a bliss to have. Processor loops, tape A/B plus a myriad of outputs are also available perfect for summing application in any studio and suffice to say the best mixer surpasses my specs expectation requirements! 3. Rarely seen blue Numark DM1920 (photos 16-to-18, $1799) 4. Vestax PMC-46 mkII with analog vu-meters ($1899) 5. Stanton rm-80 rotary ($1499) More photos available to serious potential buyers. 6. Cerwin Vega Dm-3. Refurbished. Upgraded knobs. 7. Rockwell broadcast mixer. Refurbished. Shipping and handling may vary on location. Post Script:Ideal for serious incurable collector of all things analog, unique and in short supply with intent to build a showroom, I would consider to sell to the eligible buyer, a one in a life time find of some of the rarest extremely sought after cornucopia of Vintage, DJ, A/V and Pro gears in a single Collection anywhere.
