Description: Fine Early Antique English Silver Teapot by Naphtali Hart & Duncan Urquhart Measures : 10.5" wide from spout to handle. 6.5" tall to top of finial. Marked as shown. Shows a monogram on one side as shown. Tarnished throughout. About 21 Oz. The wood finial has a small chip as shown. The bone or Iv y connectors on handle are as shown. (a little off center) .Would be beautiful cleaned up. The silversmiths were well known for their wares for a period of about 15 years together. Naphtali Hart was England's first known Jewish silversmith. He worked into the 19th c with his partner and later on his own. He died in 1831.He was my Great x 4 Grandfather and also related to Moses Hart who built and funded the Great Synagogue of London. Please take care of and enjoy this fine piece.
