Twenty-five years ago, ESCONI was given the hand-written manuscripts of George Langford, Sr. He intended to publish these in a third book on the Mazon Creek flora and fauna, but didn't live to see that happen. Jack Wittry has compiled those notes into a 96-page book. ESCONI has just printed a limited number of these books. The volume provides a snapshot of the scientific understanding of Mazon Creek fossils in the early 1960s, and describes the challenges that George Langford faced in trying to publish his third book.
