Description: GEORGE JOHNSTONE & BETTY COMEDY MAGIC BROCHURE... Rare, Scarce. The Johnstones were a highly popular comedy magic duo in their day. They met while working on the Blackstone show and when they were married back in 1941 Blackstone was their best man! They performed their popular act on all the big television talk shows and were featured on the Ed Sullivan show numerous times. They opened for Elvis, and performed at the Palace theater in N.Y.C. in addition to night clubs and private engagements all over the country. Here is one of the brochures they used at one time, printed to look like the cover of the popular Life Magazine. 8 1/2 x 11 when closed and opens up to a massive 11 x 17 when opened.. Brochure is in good used condition, it has been folded in half at one time, presumably for mailing purposes.I only ship within the United States, payment within three days of auction close.
