Power valves aren't a part that fail very often and are kinda pricey which is why they aren't included the typical Redline rebuild kit. Power valves exist to enrichen the fuel mixture under full throttle which helps against pinging and detonation but also so the carb can run with lower emissions (and slightly better mpg) at lower rpms. Normally when these fail it's due to the entire carb having sat for an extended period of time and everything rubber starts deteriorating, or if you have a backfire through the carb which can kill it. This is a Genuine Weber power valve so you know you're getting the best quality made - not some cheapie knock-off. Do it once - do it right! What you get: 1 x Part # 57804.025 - Genuine Weber Power Valve (alternate part # 57804.097) No other parts are included - this is just the power valve! Applications : Weber DFV series carbs (all choke variations so DFV, DFAV, and DFEV) Weber DGV series carbs (all choke variations so DGV, DGAV, and DGEV) Weber DGS series carbs (all choke variations so DGS, DGAS, and DGES) Tech Notes: Originally Weber offered a few different versions of this part - we believe the only difference was aesthetic and the strength of the spring which would determine at what rpm is would open. This version supersedes all of them and will fit all of the above listed carbs, however it may look a little different than what is currently in there. It will fit and function the same. Please note - there is a metal clip under the rubber diaphragm on the power valve that must be removed before installation. This clip is there to prevent damage when the power valve is not installed. Most likely this kit will fit the DGV, DFV, and DGS clones made by Empi and other companies. If you aren't sure if these will fit your carburetor, we can help!
