Description: This book would be useful to those studying the families and history of Northumberland County in Pennsylvania. There are names in the index, and then prominent people are actually pictured with a nice photograph and a bio. An amazing book to browse through. The book itself is not in good shape. The leather is bad on the spine, and there is old dampness or water staining discoloration on the edges of the pages. However, it is all intact and perfectly readable. The book once belonged to Ms Alma Lenker. Her lovely handwritten signature is on the title page. I see that there are modern reprints of this book available, but those listings do not show the insides of the book. I wonder if the photographs of the people are included inside the reprints? At any rate, this is an original which includes all the photos on nice heavy stock paper. It is large and weighs over 6 pounds.
