Description: For sale is a Geckota W-02 mechanical chronograph in excellent pre-owned condition. This model, no longer available directly from WatchGecko, features a timeless reverse panda dial, universal 37mm case size, double-domed acrylic crystal, and an exhibition case-back that nicely shows off the elegant Seagull ST19 movement. As you probably know, in 1960s Switzerland there were three competing chronograph movement manufacturers: Lemania, Valjoux,and Venus. The Tianjin Watch Factory purchased Cal. 175 machinery and designs from Venus and then upgraded the movement into today's ST19, the best bang-for-the-buck column-wheel chronograph movement on the market. Excellent pre-owned condition with minor desk marks on case. Domed acrylic crystal is perfect. Movement is keeping excellent time, plus/minus 3 seconds day in my experience. Chronograph function works perfectly with hands elegantly "flyback" to 0 upon reset. Watch comes on a new 18mm grey leather strap, as pictured. Case measures 37.5mm diameter x 46.4mm lug-to-lug x 14.5mm height (10mm w/o the domed crystal) x 18mm lug width. *11/7/24 edit: added video showing chronograph operation, per multiple requests.
