Description: This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a river in the center of the frame with a garden next to it. Anthony Casay was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1942. Moving to Mexico City with his family, he started painting at a young age, winning several competitions in local art exhibitions. At seventeen he began hosting, directing and producing children television programs that incorporated his own designs and drawings. At this time, he also started a musical career playing drums in a local band and going on to playing back up for well known American top 40 singing groups of the 50s and 60s. In the United States, he continued his painting and was recognized for his seascapes, selling his artwork across the country. He was admired by many celebrities and had many commissions: the largest being 125 x 65 feet which hangs in the EF Hutton offices in NYC. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a , wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
