Description: ***** Well, THE MAGIC GADGET SITE wants to THANK all our customers who have supported TMGS for over 20 years!! And if you are new to TMGS, you can learn more about any of our items and our fast, friendly service by visiting THE MAGIC GADGET SITE eBay store. Share the magic! ****** I think Michael Ammar was the first magician to find a chosen card inside of ice, and he taught it in his Encore book. If someone did it before Ammar, he certainly made the magic world take notice of this very different way to reveal a chosen card. Ammar's method was amazing, but only suited for certain performing conditions (since the card was truly found in a block of ice!)While not as amazing or impressive as Ammar's effect, Matt Hampel has taken the idea of a card in ice and simplified it. A card is peeked at, and after the magi makes some magical gestures, the card is removed from the deck and it is missing one of its indices. The index corner is torn off and has apparently vanished. But calling attention to an ice cube floating in his glass of water, the magi fishes it out with a spoon and the missing index for the card is inside the ice cube.Hampel's prop is a fake ice cube, which makes the effect much more practical for many different performing situations. (Hampel mentions the possibility of loading the cube into a spectator's drink, but I would say this one is best when you have a drink of your own in which to discover the cube).Hampel's routine (taught on the accompanying 20 minute DVD) goes on to magically vanish the cube, leaving just the index, which matches the missing spot on the card. (I think that is a great place to end). Hampel continues with a phase that restores the index corner to the card, but that seems like work you don't really need to do. The appearance of the pip inside the ice, and then causing the cube to vanish --I say it has "melted"-- leaving just the index to match up to the card... well, that is a nice one-two magical punch, in my opinion. But you can decide for yourself after you buy this :-) Typical retails online and in stores for this effect are $25-$30. Get it here for less!IMPORTANT NOTES: the deck of cards shown in the last photo is NOT included. It is shown so you can easily see the size of the faux ice cube. ALSO, the value of the pip in the cube you receive will be different from the one in the photos. If you buy more than one of these, I will make sure you get different pip values BRAND NEW AND UNUSED. +++++++++++ ***** Yes, we will combine multiple eBay wins into a single shipment to help lower the overall shipping costs.
