Description: The Will of Antoine Jean-Baptiste Briancon Marjollet, dictated to the notary Antoine Ougier on March 26, 1806. Text in French. The will was written in pen-and-ink script by the notary on a single leaf (sheet) of light blue paper measuring about 16 3/4" x 11 5/8", folded in half to make four pages, each measuring about 8 3/8" x 11 5/8". There is a stamp on the upper left-hand corner of the first page, and there are embossed seals on the first and last pages. There is a watermark in the center of the leaf. Condition is very nice. Two of the edges are uncut and the rough portions show some wear. There are fold marks showing how the document was originally folded and stored. The testator resided in the Commune of Macot, Department of Mont Blanc and was a farmer. Macot-la-Plagne is in the east of France at 59 kilometers from Chambery, the department capital, and 491 kilometers from Paris.
