We could not find this exact model but we saw swords very similar to this one. We think it could be a one off. Overall, this sword is in Fair - Good condition, considering its age and history. The top strap, quillon and guard are securely fastened to the hilt. The grip has serrations with a design that looks like twisted chord. All the pieces are made of brass. They have scattered scrapes and scratches. There is a crack at the bottom of the guard corner. The brass finish has changed to a darker gold patina color. The blade's spine is slightly bent, but really is not noticeable unless you hold it to a light, but it is worth mentioning. The spine has nicks, dings, oxidation and scrapes. The sides and fullers have light erosion, oxidation and scrapes. There are many scattered nicks and dings on the blade's cutting edge and it appears to have its original factory edge. The tip is mostly intact and comes to a semi-sharp straight point. The finish was originally in the white, but it has turned a darker gray patina color. It also has scattered discoloration. There are decorative markings on both sides of the sword, plus on the ricasso. Some of it has worn off due to the erosion. The scabbard is in Fair - Good condition, considering its age and history. The brass frog loop is securely attached to the locket. Both the brass locket and chape have light impact marks, erosion and scrapes. They have turned a darker golden patina color and are securely attached to the leather body. The body has no rips or tears, but there are draglines and scrapes. The stitching has come undone along the seam, but the leather is firm and still holds the sword. The leather has dried out. Most of the original finish still remains. There are no visible markings on the scabbard. This sword and scabbard will be a great addition to your French militaria collection, or a sword collection in general.
