Description: This is an early French photograph showing the Picat du Breuil airplane. Designed by the Marquis Picat du Breuil, it was built in 1910 and exhibited at the 1911 Salon de Aviation in Paris. The large, round wings were not rigid, but were spanned by a loose piece of fabric.
