He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947. Frisch started his career with the New York Giants 1919-1926, winning two World Series Championships. Later, Frisch was traded to the Cardinals for the NL's best player, Rogers Hornsby and played with the St. Louis Cardinals 1927-37, some as player manager, winning another pair of World Series Championships and 4 Pennants. He was the National League MVP in 1931, a 3-time All-Star (playing much of his career before that was a thing) and led the NL in Stolen Bases 3 times. Frisch is a member of the Cardinals Hall of Fame. He was Manager of the Cardinals 1933-1938, the Pirates 1940-46 and the Cubs 1949-1951. Frisch set Major League Record with 10 Doubles in World Series play and had 641 Assists and Total Chances with 1037, both MLB records for Second Basemen at the time.
