Description: Frances Trusdell Magnolias Still Life 1960s Oil Painting Signed In Hand Painted Step Up Wooden Frame Shade Of Grey With Black Trim30" x 26" x 2" Frances Trusdell Washington State Artist Creator Of The 1950's Camano Art Studio About the Artist Frances Trusdell: Frances Josephsen Trusdell, my Grandmother, came over to the US from Germany in 1914. She Lived in the East working 7 days a week to pay to bring the rest of our family over from Germany. Later in the 1950's She moved to Camp Lagoon on Camano Island in Washington State where her Son had discovered and bought a Farm.. The States Beauty was Close to the Germany & Norway landscapes of our family's Heritage. There in her beautiful home over looking the Puget Sound, she had a small Art Studio she named "The Camano Art Center & Gallery" where she created her art projects, painted and began Teaching. Her Passion and incredible talent was painting Mountains Landscapes & Seascapes but did some other subjects as well. Soon some of her paintings were shown at the Frye Art Museum, and won many accolades. Her Art hung in Buildings High End Restaurants and Homes around the state & beyond. Her ambitions outgrew her home Art Studio space on Camano Island so she purchased the Historic Hagstrom / Thompson House Built by Sven A. Thompson in 1905 in Stanwood Washington, about a hour away from Camano Island. There she lived, painted and taught art classes, with students driving in from all over the state, including many driving in from Seattle and beyond. I took a train from California to Washington spending almost all my Summers growing up with my Grandma, She gave me my Positive Attitude and Joy of Life & Gratitude. .One of her favorite heart felt statements was " I Love My Life!"
