This bayonet scabbard stud was excavated from the woods near fort William Henry and was part of the Oswald French and Indian war collection and originally came from the Lake George MuseumCollection.. It has a great looking green patina to the piece that was hard to capture with camera. There is also a large patch of French and Indian war period leather preserved on the backside of this artifact . This artifact is a one of a kind and likely there will not be another offered or found… i picked this up at an auction in 2017 - (Tennessee collector) and hope it gets in the hand of the right collector
