Description: Florida Conch Bean Southern Pea This is the first year we have grown the Florida Conch Bean and we will grow it from now on!! The plants form a bush like structure but do branch out a few feet in every direction. It can be quite unruly, but the foliage is really beautiful. When very happy and fed regularly, the leaves turn a super dark green / almost blue! While most beans don't do well when disturbed, these really seemed to enjoy getting eaten by the deer! Branches grew back within a week and another week later they were back to blooming! Beans are on the smaller side, if compared to Cream 40 Butter Beans. But, the plants will produce so many beans that it is totally worth it! We prefer to let the beans dry in the pods on the plant. Long 6" pods hold 10+ beans each! Peeling is super easy. These seeds were harvested July 2024 Seed Starting Soak seeds in warm water overnight Sow 1/4" deep & keep moist but not wet Seedlings will emerge in 2-3 weeks Shipping Orders $10+ ship USPS Ground with Tracking for FREE!
