Description: This listing is for 5 pieces of Texas flint for a flint and steel fire starter kit. I spalled up a lot of flint for gun flints and knapping it is mostly Georgetown type, 1604 type and some Uvalde and some others, I cant identity. Nevertheless, the listing is for is 5 pieces of Texas flint like seen above. The 3rd picture is a representation of what you will get but the 1st pic is the pile I have been pulling from. If you want larger or smaller shoot me a msg, I can dig through and find what you need or want no issues. All these flint flakes have been tested with a hardened flint and steel striker. If the flake did not throw a good spark it was rejected to the flower bed and to fill holes in the yard lol. Most of these have had some edge work done to remove cortex, thin and sure up the edges so they don't break up when struck. The cooler weather is coming so time to get prepared for that primitive camp. This works great for the period correct flint steel kit. I know living in a lot of parts of the US that sometime flint is just hard to come by. I am retired military so understand not having access to things you need for primitive camp, reenacting etc. If you order multiple lots I will throw in some extra and combine the shipping.
