Description: Here is a kit of parts to update your Palomar model 300A base-station linear amplifier. Electrolytic capacitors will deteriorate from age alone, even if the equipment is never powered up. And if your amplifier has any miles on it, factory-original electrolytic caps are past any hope of being reliable. This kit includes:2) 100uf 450-Volt axial-lead 105-degree capacitors2) 220k 2 Watt bleeder resistors3) 1000uf 25-Volt axial-lead capacitors1) 47uf 50 Volt sideband-delay capacitor Some versions of the 300A use only two of the 1000uf capacitors, other versions use all three. The bleeder resistors were left out of the factory design, but they are easy to install, as seen in two pictures. ***!! The bleeder-resistor pictures are **representative**, showing how to apply them. The robins-egg blue caps and circuit board are ***NOT*** included in this sale, only the loose parts seen in the other pics. Yes, you should install the bleeder resistors. And if I have to explain why, maybe you are not the best candidate to undertake this task. I'm just compulsive enough to check these parts before I pack them up to ship. I have not encountered even one cap that flunks yet. If you have problems it's either because you hooked something up wrong, or because your amplifier has shorted rectifier diodes that have not yet been replaced.
